Calling all Disney Junior superfans! Disney Junior Live on Tour: Costume Palooza’s third stop of its North American Tour will bring it to the Great New York State Fair this summer. Children of all ages are invited to come in costume and watch as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Doc. McStuffens, the Puppy Dog Pals, Bo from “Firebuds,” and other beloved characters throw a giant costume party on Chevy Court. The party starts at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 3.
Best of all, the cost of the celebration is included in admission to The Fair. Fair tickets, expected to go on sale in a few weeks, will cost $6 for adults. Admission to The Fair is free for children under 12 years old, and senior citizens ages 65 and up.
“We hope New York Disney families and friends reserve Labor Day Weekend to come out to the Great New York State Fair. We can’t wait to see the magic come to life on stage for all of the young ones, and of course, the young at heart,” said Sean Hennessey, Interim Fair Director. “What an incredible value! Watching a performance of this caliber in other cities typically costs a family of four more than $100 just to get in the door. But, here at The Fair, all you need to do to unlock the fun is to come through our gates. Costumes, while encouraged, are optional.”
Disney Junior Live on Tour: Costume Palooza promises an immersive, interactive concert experience. Fans will recognize songs from several popular Disney Junior series and be treated to an original song, “Green Gobby Party,” written by “Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends” composer Patrick Stump (also the lead singer of Fall Out Boy). There are also 3D special effects and acrobatics – including incredible trampoline choreography – to look forward to.
The show follows Mickey, Minnie, and their pals as they get ready to throw a costume party, while mysterious weather interrupts the fun. And, new to the tour this year, adorable superhero kittens from the new action-packed series, “Superkitties,” will join the entourage!
The three-time Pollstar nominated Disney Junior On Tour (2019, 2020, 2022) has visited hundreds of cities and sold more than a half million tickets. In total, this fall’s tour will visit 60 cities (see the full list here) where pre-sale is already underway. Ticket sales to watch Disney Junior in other cities open to the public this Friday, May 12. The performance at The Fair is part of the Chevrolet Music Series and that’s why it is free, included with Fair admission. However, there will not be a VIP Experience offered, as is the case with other cities where Disney Junior is appearing.
The Chevrolet Music Series will bring 48 national recording artists and entertainment acts to the Great New York State Fair this summer, featuring daily performances at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1) and the newly renamed Suburban Park Stage (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway). All acts announced thus far are provided below. Schedules are continuously updated at pages dedicated to Chevy Court and Suburban Park on the Fair’s website.
