She’s widely praised as being one of the greatest singers in the history of Rock and Roll, and this summer her powerhouse vocals will fill the Suburban Park area of the Great New York State Fair. Ann Wilson of Heart will perform at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, Women’s Day at The Fair.
Ann Wilson and her backing band, Tripsitter, are wrapping up their 2023 North American Summer Tour with a stop at The Fair.
While the Grammy Lifetime Achievement award recipient is best known for belting out empowering anthems like “Barracuda” and powerful ballads like “Alone”–songs that topped charts and sent chills down spines through the 70s, 80s, and 90s— her voice defies genre. In the last year, Ann has collaborated with the metal band Disturbed on a song on their newest album as well as with country darling Dolly Parton on her upcoming rock album.
Ann’s most recent solo album Fierce Bliss (2022) features a blend of covers and originals with a variety of other artists. The original song, “Greed,” complements classic songs like “Crazy on You,” “Magic Man,” and “Barracuda,” which are all regulars in Ann’s setlist.
Ann promises to bring the same vigor and verve that has established her as a mainstay in the music industry for more than 50 years. Fairgoers may remember her 2008 ticketed Grandstand appearance with Heart. Ann’s August 30 performance – like all entertainment included in the Chevrolet Music Series–will be included with the price of Fair admission.
