Brand New Sin, the Syracuse hard rock band and national recording artists whose songs were adopted by pro wrestlers as well as a devoted legion of fans, will reunite for a second reunion show featuring the band's original lineup. They will perform at 5:05 p.m. Sunday, August 25 on the Great New York State Fair's Experience Stage as part of the Chevrolet Music Festival. All performances on the Experience Stage are free of charge.
From 2002 to 2012, the band was a favorite of fans of hard rock and toured with or opened for bands such as Motorhead, Godsmack, Slash and more. WWE wrestler Big Show used the band's "Crank It Up" as his theme song. Their song "My World" helped promote the wrestler Batista (now known as actor Dave Bautista). At Allmusic.com, writer Alex Henderson describes the band as "rowdy, long-haired, tattooed, decadent, hell-raising headbangers" who made "blistering and forceful yet consistently melodic" music.
Over the Fair’s 13 days, the Chevrolet Music Festival at the New York Experience Stage will feature several national touring acts along with a mix of major bands from across Upstate New York and national touring tribute bands. The New York Experience Stage is located on the west end of the Fairgrounds
