State Senator Dave Valesky is hosting an electronics recycling event in partnership with Sunnking Electronics Recycling on Saturday, June 9, from 9:30am to 1:30pm at the New York State Fairgrounds (enter at Gate 7), Syracuse. Area residents can drop off old and unused electronics at no charge.
State law prohibits certain types of electronics from being discarded in the trash or placed curbside for trash pickup. These items must now be recycled. This free recycling event is an easy and convenient way for residents to safely and legally dispose of these old electronics.
Items that can be accepted include computers (desktops and laptops), printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, televisions (CRT, LCD, LED, plasma), cell phones, IT and networking equipment, monitors (CRT, LCD, LED), MP3 players, PDAs, tablets, and ink and toner cartridges. Visit Sunnking.com for a full list of acceptable and prohibited items.
