Lee Greenwood will take the Chevy Court stage for Armed Forces Day on Thursday, August 31 at 6:00 p.m. for the fifth time in his musical career—and for the first time in ten years. Greenwood most recently performed at The Fair in 2013, and also appeared in 2009, 2003 and 1988.

While he is best known for “God Bless The U.S.A.” – which to this date, is the only song to have climbed to the Top Five in the country charts three times (in 1991, 2001, and 2003) – fairgoers are sure to recognize more songs from Greenwood’s catalogue. Lee Greenwood had a string of seven #1 hits in the early to mid-1980s including “Somebody’s Gonna Love You,” “Going, Going, Gone” and “Mornin’ Ride.” He also saw success singing “To Me” – and other duets – with Barbara Mandrell. Crossover hits include “Touch & Go Crazy” and his Grammy award winning song, “I.O.U.”

Like all acts that appear in the Chevrolet Music Series, the Lee Greenwood concert are free with Fair admission.
