Rapper Lil Yachty, whose debut album soared on the Billboard album charts last year, will make his first appearance on the Chevy Court stage at the 2018 Great New York State Fair on Wednesday, August 29 at 8 p.m. The Atlanta-born rapper’s work as a featured artist on songs by D.R.A.M. and Kyle earned him Grammy nominations last year as well.
Lil Yachty cruised to the forefront of pop culture in 2016 with 2016 mixtapes 'Lil Boat' and 'Summer Songs 2' and achieved an RIAA platinum certification for his smash “One Night.” He joined D.R.A.M. for the 5x-platinum “Broccoli,” receiving a 2017 Grammy Award nomination in the category of “Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.” Following his initial “Summer Songs” EP, he dropped two acclaimed mixtapes—"Lil Boat” and “Summer Songs 2”—as well as his debut album “Teenage Emotions” in just over a year. A highly sought-after voice, he guested on Chance the Rapper’s Grammy Award-winning “Coloring Book” and the Fate of the Furious Official Soundtrack. He also appeared on a barrage of other singles (alongside such top guns as Young Thug, Charli XCX, Post Malone, T-Pain and many more), on Kyle’s Top 10 hit “ISpy,” Migos' highly-acclaimed album “Culture,” his label Quality Control's compilation “Control The Streets Volume I” and most recently Migos' #1 follow-up album, “Culture II”'
