He’s made the rounds on the festival circuit – serving as a big draw to Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, and the Governors Ball – and now, his summer tour includes a stop at  the Great New York State Fair. Quinn XCII (pronounced Quinn Ninety-Two) will play the newly renamed Suburban Park Stage at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2.

If a musical genre had to be assigned to Quinn XCII, his sound might best be described as pop and/or alternative. Influenced by Motown music, Quinn XCII blends pop, hip-hop, and reggae into his musical style. Perhaps best known for his singles, “Straightjacket” and “Flare Guns,” Quinn XCII has also experienced platinum success with collaborations including “Kings of Summer” with ayokay, and “Love Me Less” with MAX. Earlier this year, he released his fifth studio album, The People’s Champ. Already, singles “Backpack” and “Common” ft. Big Sean are climbing charts.

Originally, Quinn XCII saw songwriting and music as more of a hobby. His moniker was inspired from an acronym he learned from a college professor “Quit unless your instincts are never neglected” and the year he was born, 1992. Quinn XCII got his start at Michigan State where he studied advertising, and he still relates well to the college-aged crowd.

Like all entertainment included in the Chevrolet Music Series, Quinn XCII’s performance is free with the price of admission to the Fair.
