Get On Your Feet and Dance All Day at The Great New York State Fair’s Inaugural DJ Festival Featuring More Than a Dozen Performers

A Diverse Lineup Includes Top 40, EDM, Latin, Hip Hop, R&B, and Reggae Music on August 29

Follow the beat to the Talent Showcase Stage on Sunday, August 29 when the first-ever DJ Festival arrives at the 2021 Great New York State Fair. Hosts DJ Bella J and Travis Blunt will cue up the first act at noon and juggle more than a dozen performers through 11:00 pm, when the music fades for the night.

“There are talented people in every corner of the Great New York State Fair and we’re always looking for new skills to showcase. After a challenging year for DJs, it’s great to know we can give them a boost and give fairgoers another fun and free experience,” said Fair Director Troy Waffner.

“This has never been done. There are some amazing DJs in the Central New York area who have been impacted by the pandemic,” said festival organizer Jasmine Coan, also known as DJ Bella J. “DJs have been one of the hardest hit professions during this pandemic and the most sought-after for virtual events, to keep spirits up.”

Coan runs “On The One” DJ center, a creative space for aspiring DJs, with workshops designed to empower young girls and women. Coan is also a DJ for the SU Women’s Basketball team and Destiny USA. She promises a diverse lineup including Top 40, EDM (Electronic Dance Music), Latin, hip hop, R & B, and reggae music.

The Syracuse Police Athletic League and the PGR (Poised, Gifted, and Ready) Foundation are supporting the event. Coan is dedicated to helping bring together local police with the communities they serve. Festival sponsors include 96.5 The Beat and Syracuse Posters at Destiny USA.

DJ Festival performers include DJ Showcase, Seth Marcel, DJ Maestro, DJ Big Boy, DJ Tekwun, DJ Remaniss, DJ ha-MEEN, DJ Brei, DJ Skeet, DJ Rock, DJ Clockz, DJ Shaykey, Dale the Rockstar, DJ Tayboog, On The One youth DJ’s, and a special half-time performance by Kierrah. All performances are free with fair admission.
