Jackyl to Perform at The 2021 Great New York State Fair

Dire Straits Legacy Cancels Appearance Due to Travel Issues

Hard-rockin’ Georgia outfit Jackyl will perform at the 2021 Great New York State Fair at 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 24 on the Chevy Court stage. They will replace Dire Straits Legacy, which has had to cancel its show due to issues involving international travel. Jackyl’s brand of southern-style rock comes complete with lead singer Jesse James Dupree’s trademark chainsaw solo on “The Lumberjack.” All shows in the Chevrolet Music Festival are free with $3 admission to the Fair.

Troy Waffner, Fair Director, said, “Jackyl was great when they were here in 2019 and I know this will be a fun and exciting show. We thank them for being willing to step in. We’re sorry to lose Dire Straits Legacy but will keep an eye out for them in the future.”

Jackyl joins a lineup of more than 50 national touring shows presented in the Chevrolet Music Festival, the largest free music festival at any state fair in America.
