Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer Joan Jett and her band The Blackhearts return to the Great New York State Fair on Labor Day, Monday, September 6. The singer famous for “I Love Rock ‘N Roll” and “Crimson And Clover” will perform at 1 p.m. on the Chevy Park stage. It will be the fourth appearance at the Fair for Joan Jett. The Chevy Park stage is in the New York Experience festival area near the Midway. All shows in the Chevrolet Music Festival are free with $3 admission to the Fair.
Troy Waffner, Fair Director, said, “Joan Jett has put on a tremendous show every time she’s been here and I can’t think of a better way to enjoy the final day of the 2021 Fair than to be entertained by one of the all-time greats.”
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts join a lineup of more than 50 national touring shows presented in the Chevrolet Music Festival, the largest free music festival at any state fair in America. Shows announced to date include:

The Fair also announced updates to the concert schedule:
- 98 Degrees’ performance will move to 8 p.m. at Chevy Park from 2 p.m.
- Cory Marks will perform on the Chevy Park stage at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31. Marks is opening for Halestorm, which performs at 8 p.m. that day, on its current tour.
- The August 27 concert by Sister Sledge is cancelled.

Founded in 1841, the Great New York State Fair is America’s third largest state fair. The Fair showcases the best of New York agriculture, provides top-quality entertainment and is a key piece of Governor Cuomo’s CNY Rising strategy of growing the Central New York economy through tourism. Fair attendance is up more than 46% since the beginning of more than $120 million in investments, with 1.33 million people attending the Fair in 2019. The 2021 Fair runs from August 20 to September 6.
