Park Your Appetite In Chevy Court when Food Trucks Serve $3 Samples at The 2021 Great New York State Fair

Fire up the engine and the grill for some pork or turkey sliders, lobster mac and cheese, and sour cream cherry ice cream at the 2021 Great New York State Fair. Ten food trucks will line up along Chevy Court to tickle the taste buds of fairgoers from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 28.

This event is perfect for those who love trying as many treats as possible from different vendors. Instead of filling up with one big menu item, foodies can pack their meals with several sample-sized snacks from a diverse array of trucks.

“The Fair is known for having just about anything your imagination craves, and this event is a great spot to try something new. Families absolutely love following the trail of trucks lined up here with some fun and creative treats for just a few dollars apiece,” said Fair Director Troy Waffner. “This is also a great way to get a taste of New York’s amazing network of food trucks.”

Unlike the regular daily vendors at the fairgrounds, the food trucks at Chevy Court on August 28 must limit their prices to $3 per sample. Each truck will offer one menu item, with flexibility for toppings, sauces, and flavors. The sample selection includes a great mix of familiar foods and treats with a twist, from seafood, to dessert, to barbecue.

Rochester’s Roll’n Deep will feature crab Rangoon nachos with freshly fried wonton chips smothered in a special blend of melted cheeses and crab. The meal is topped with fresh jalapeños, scallions, and sweet siracha. Syracuse shop Glazed and Confused will serve a caramel apple donut parfait. The cider donut is tossed in cinnamon sugar and topped with hot apple pie filling, drizzled with caramel, and covered with homemade brown sugar whipped cream.
