Fairtime Employment:
The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Division of the State Fair, is actively seeking employees for hundreds of temporary employment positions for the 13-day run of this year's annual New York State Fair, August 26 – September 7, 2026.
The inability to work all the days of the State Fair will limit available assignments. The work hours, rate of pay, and duration of employment varies by assignment. Certain positions are needed in advance of the first day of the State Fair. Applicants may be subject to background investigation/criminal history checks. Positions do not include parking or cleaning.
The Department of Agriculture and Markets does not directly employ any of the outside food vendors or concessionaires.
