Wade Shows to Hold One-Day Midway Flash Sale on Monday, July 28

Wade Shows Midway 5

Reduced Price Tickets Available Online Starting at 4:00 a.m.

With the start of The Great New York State Fair just weeks away, Wade Shows, the official vendor of The Fair’s Midway, has announced a one-day, online-only flash sale beginning at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, until midnight. The sale features the absolute lowest price for single-day Midway tickets. To purchase tickets as part of the flash sale, please visit The Great New York State Fair’s website.

To celebrate the flash sale, “Ride All Day” Wristbands will be on sale for $24, plus fees, which is a savings of up to $23 per wristband. Wristbands are valid any one day during The Fair’s 13-day run and give fairgoers the ability to ride any ride of their choosing as many times as they want.

Fair Director Julie LaFave said, "We are excited to offer fairgoers opportunities to save on summer fun with our Midway flash sale and upcoming pre-sale offerings. Wade Shows is proud to bring a variety of exciting rides and attractions to The Fair this year, and we look forward to creating unforgettable memories for families and thrill-seekers alike.”

Wade Shows Owner Frank Zaitshik said, “This year’s Fair will have more rides, a greater selection, and more rider appeal than ever before.”

After the flash sale, advance tickets to the Midway can still be purchased by visiting The Great New York State Fair’s website.

“Ride All Day” Wristbands, which grant fairgoers the ability to enjoy all rides throughout a single day (of their choosing) at The Fair, can be purchased starting Tuesday, July 29 until Tuesday, August 19 at midnight, for a discounted rate of $28 plus applicable fees. After the Fair starts, wristbands will be sold at The Fair for $37 on weekdays and $47 on weekends, plus any applicable fees.

A “Mega Pass” option, which grants fairgoers unlimited rides all day, every day, is also available for pre-sale online – and will only be available in advance online starting Tuesday, July 29 through Tuesday, August 19 at midnight. To avoid time waiting and enjoy more time riding, customers who purchase the Mega Pass may pick up passes in person at the Wade Shows GR trailer located by Gate 6 at the Fairgrounds beginning Saturday, August 16 through Tuesday, August 19 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

With fees, the total cost to patrons who purchase as part of the flash or advance sales will be:

  • Flash Sale “Ride All Day” Wristbands: $26.01 per pass ($24 pass, $1.25 e-ticket convenience fee, and 3 percent credit card fee);
  • “Ride All Day” Wristbands: $30.13 per pass ($28 pass, $1.25 e-ticket convenience fee, and 3 percent credit card fee);
  • Mega Pass: $101.20 per pass ($97 pass, $1.25 for e-ticket convenience fee, 3 percent credit card fee)

Fairgoers may purchase either option at this link. Those purchasing a Mega Pass are encouraged to upload their photo at the time of sale to expedite the process.

To kick off the Fair, “Wacky Wednesday” single-day wristbands will be available for $30 on both opening day August 20 and Wednesday, August 27 – a $7 weekday savings.

Individual ride tickets can also be purchased at any Wade Shows ticket booth on the Midway for the following:

  • 8 credits for $12;
  • 28 credits for $35;
  • 50 credits for $50

The Midway will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, except on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, when it will close at 9 p.m. All riders must meet minimum and maximum height requirements. Please note, The Midway’s closing time is subject to change with little notice in the event of inclement weather or other uncontrollable situations. The Fair’s social media accounts – particularly its Facebook story, Twitter feed, and Instagram story – will have updates in live time.

Wade Shows, the second-largest carnival operator in the United States, will bring more than 50 thrilling and immaculately maintained rides to The Great New York State Fair, along with dozens of fun games, and classic carnival food. The Fair starts Wednesday, August 20, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 1. All concerts are included in the price of admission. Tickets are on sale now at The Fair’s website, nysfair.ny.gov. Packed with value, a single admission ticket costs $8 and includes access to all grounds entertainment and the Chevrolet Music Series. In addition, a Frequent Fairgoer ticket option is available for $25.

The Fair continues to be one of the most affordable fairs in the nation, with admission remaining free for those aged 65 and older along with children 12 years old and under.
