Ace Frehley to Electrify Chevy Court Stage at The 2024 Great New York State Fair

Ace Frehley

Ace Frehley Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and original lead guitarist of KISS will electrify Chevy Court stage on Thursday, August 22 at 6:00 p.m. bringing fans songs from his tenth full-length solo offering, ‘10,000 Volts.’

Rock ‘n’ roll and heavy metal wouldn’t sound, look, or feel the same without him and the only thing more recognizable than Ace Frehley’s signature “Spaceman” makeup is his guitar playing.  His thundering riffs and singable solos have enshrined him as one of the most influential, inspiring, and impactful musicians of all-time.  The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® inducted him in 2014 as a Co-founder and the original lead guitarist of Kiss. Guitar World named the Grammy Award-nominated, Bronx-born Frehley in the Top 15 of its “100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time” and plugged the lead from “Shock Me” on the “50 Greatest Guitar Solos of All Time.”

His ’10,000 Volts’ record upholds an incredible legacy for Frehley, spanning 50-plus years in the limelight. From his solo debut in 1978, ‘Ace Frehley,’ which reached platinum status and exploded as “the highest-selling of the four Kiss solo albums in the Soundscan era,” to ‘his Spaceman’ album in 2018 and ‘Origins Vol. 2’, launched in 2020, Frehley is jumpstarting his next chapter with his ’10,000 Volts,’ It features the first single and title track “10,000 Volts” with its fret-burning guitar solo as well as “Walkin’ On The Moon,” “Cherry Medicine,” “Up In The Sky,” and the instrumental finale on the album, “Stratosphere.” Frehley’s evocative playing channels epic emotion with one of his most stunning and lyrical lead lines to date.

“Ace Frehely original KISS guitar virtuoso is an awesome addition to our 2024 entertainment lineup at the Fair,” said Interim Director Julie LaFave. “From his riveting riffs to his singable solos, fans are in for a truly electrifying performance from this rock and roll legend.”
