When it comes to tribute bands – who doesn’t love a two-for-one? Fans of two iconic bands, Journey and Heart, will have an opportunity to enjoy their favorite hits from both legends as Journey From the Heart is scheduled for back-to-back performances at Chevy Court on Monday, September 2 at 12:00 and 4:00 p.m.
From “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Separate Ways,” and “Any Way You Want it,” to “Barracuda,” “Crazy on You,” and “Magic Man,” Journey From the Heart features two lead singers who have been hailed by fans for their dynamic, powerhouse vocals.
“The Great New York State Fair is proud to be the host of one of summer’s biggest sing-a-longs with Journey From the Heart,” said Interim Fair Director Julie LaFave. “Fairgoers can relive some of the biggest songs from two of rock’s most recognizable hitmakers. Music has such a strong pull in bringing people together and we can’t wait to celebrate together at Chevy Court on Labor Day!”
Journey From the Heart has played venues throughout the United States with singer Ryan Christopher having been described by fans nationwide as the “closest thing to Steve Perry,” while fellow vocalist Shareen Ann has been touted as a perfect portrayal of Heart’s Ann Wilson.
The Fair starts Wednesday, August 21, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 2. All concerts are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale later this summer. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable state fair in the country. Tickets are $8 for adults while admission is free for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65 and older.
In total, The Fair’s Chevrolet Music Series will feature 39 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and a daily 8 p.m. concert at Suburban Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway).
