The Great New York State Fair to Welcome Stephen Sanchez to Suburban Park

The Great New York State Fair is announcing the addition of 20-year-old crooner Stephen Sanchez to its 2024 entertainment lineup. Sanchez has materialized at the forefront of popular culture with his timeless sound that features breezy baritone stylings, warm guitar phrasing, and untouchable charisma. The singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer has already enchanted audiences everywhere, and will take the Suburban Park Stage on Tuesday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m.

Sanchez broke onto the scene with his breakout single “Until I Found You,” which went multi-platinum, vaulted into the Top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100, and generated nearly 2 billion streams powered by the original, piano version, and duet with gold-certified pop singer and songwriter Em Beihold. He also delivered performances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Meanwhile, he also sold out successive headline tours and earned acclaim from Billboard, Consequence, and more. He was even invited by Sir Elton John to perform “Until I Found You” at Elton’s last show ever headlining Glastonbury. Most recently, Sanchez released his 2023 full-length debut, Angel Face. The record tells the tale of “The Troubadour Sanchez” a fictional musician who blew up in 1958 with “Until I Found You,” lit up popular culture, and was tragically gunned down in 1964 after falling in love with a mob boss’s girlfriend, Evangeline.

“We’re so excited to welcome Stephen Sanchez for his first performance at our fairgrounds,” said State Fair Interim Director Julie LaFave.  “With a unique style that blends vintage and contemporary sounds, Sanchez is certainly one to watch. We can’t wait to bring this star in the making to fairgoers of all ages this summer!”

The Fair starts Wednesday, August 21, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 2. All concerts are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale later this summer. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable state fair in the country.

In total, The Fair’s Chevrolet Music Series will feature 39 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and a daily 8 p.m. concert at Suburban Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway).
