Canadian Sensation Josh Ross to Perform at The 2024 Great New York State Fair

Fresh off being named the Canadian Country Music Association’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Josh Ross is set to bring his unique blend of country and rock to the Chevy Court Stage on Friday, August 30 at 6:00 p.m.

Ross, who is heavily influenced by musical legends such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and country outlaw Steve Earle, burst onto the scene in 2023 with a string of platinum-certified Top 5 Canadian country hits, including his breakthrough single “Trouble,” which peaked at No. 1.

Outside of Canada, Ross has found similar success with his power ballads and sing-along hits that have been streamed over 495 million times worldwide, which led him to be named an Artist to Watch by Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora, MusicRow, the Grand Ole Opry, and others.

Ross has already toured with some of music’s biggest names, including Brantley Gilbert, Nickelback, and Bailey Zimmerman. The singer-songwriter will continue touring in 2024 alongside Luke Bryan as part of the “Mind of a Country Boy” tour with two more stops in New York State.

“One of the best things about the Chevrolet Music Series at The Fair is the variety of entertainment,” said Julie LaFave, Interim Fair Director. “Fairgoers have a chance to see some of music’s brightest newcomers like Josh Ross and award-winning legends who have been a part of pop culture for as long as we can remember. The Great New York State Fair provides fans with countless opportunities to hear their favorite songs live, while serving up those ‘were you there when?’ moments, too. As you plan out the rest of your summer, we hope you’ll reserve a few afternoons and evenings to take in all that The Fair has to offer!”

The Fair starts Wednesday, August 21, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 2. All concerts are included in the price of admission, which will go on sale later this summer. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable state fair in the country. Tickets are $8 for adults while admission is free for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65 and older.

In total, The Fair’s Chevrolet Music Series will feature 39 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and a daily 8 p.m. concert at Suburban Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway).
