The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Division of the State Fair, is now seeking individuals who are interested in temporary employment for this summer and during the annual New York State Fair, August 23 – September 4, 2017. There are a variety of assignments including: labor/maintenance/restrooms, parking, gate attendants and other positions - find out more about them by viewing a list of job descriptions.
The inability to work all thirteen days of the Fair will limit available assignments. The work hours, hourly rate and duration of employment varies by assignment. Certain positions are needed 3 to 6 days before and/or after the Fair. Applicants may be subject to background investigation/criminal history checks. Positions for applicants under the age of 18 will require working papers and are limited. The Department does not directly employ any of the food vendors or concessionaires.
