Prolific Songwriter and Producer Robin Thicke to Perform at Great New York State Fair

The mask is coming off, as Fair officials reveal that critically acclaimed artist Robin Thicke will make his Great New York State Fair debut Sunday, September 6, at 8 p.m.

Thicke, a five-time Grammy Award nominee, Diamond-selling performer, actor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, is known for creating iconic, hit-making pop and R&B music. By the age of 21, he had written and produced songs on over 20 Gold and Platinum albums for artists including Michael Jackson, Marc Anthony, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Usher, and Jennifer Hudson. Thicke released his critically acclaimed debut album, A Beautiful World, in 2003, followed by a succession of Gold- and Platinum-selling releases. His sixth studio album, Blurred Lines (2013), garnered four Grammy nominations and featured the RIAA Diamond-certified No. 1 title track “Blurred Lines,” with T.I. and Pharrell Williams.

In 2021, Thicke released On Earth, and in Heaven, his first studio album in six years—a reflection on loss, celebration, and personal growth. The album includes the No. 1 Billboard Adult R&B single “That’s What Love Can Do,” while “Look Easy” also reached No. 1, marking the first time Thicke achieved multiple chart-topping singles from the same album.

Beyond music, Thicke serves as a panelist on FOX’s hit reality singing competition The Masked Singer, alongside Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Rita Ora, and host Nick Cannon.

“We’re eager to welcome Robin Thicke for the very first time,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave. “His connection with fans is a true testament to the talent and energy he puts into his craft, and we know fairgoers are going to love every minute of this performance.”

The Fair starts Wednesday, August 26, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 7. All concerts are included in the price of admission. Tickets are on sale now at The Fair’s website, nysfair.ny.gov. The Great New York State Fair is the most affordable state fair in the country. Tickets are $8 for adults while admission is free for children under 12 and senior citizens aged 65 and older.
